Manners Matter To Me Inc. is a non-profit organization that conducts social marketing events and community service programs that promote family unity and advance physical and environmental health.
Programming and Events:
December 27, 2018 - Charity To Charity Donation "Holiday Giveaway"
Mission: To donate $250.00 to a local non-profit to help them carry out their mission in their respective community.
Description: Local Detroiters signed up for our Holiday Giveaway, for only $0.01, and entered a contest to donate $250.00 to a charity nearest to their hearts.
Outcome: Kenneth Briggs was our winner and he chose HAVEN of Oakland County.
About HAVEN : As Oakland County’s only comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, HAVEN provides shelter, counseling, advocacy and educational programming to nearly 30,000 people each year.
January 8. 2019- "Breaking Bread with Besties"
Mission: Reducing Hunger for the less fortunate.
Description: Manners Matter To Me Inc. along with LeCulture Cafe' are teaming up to provide brunch for the less fortunate at Central United Methodist Church in Detroit, MI.
Outcome: Over 200 participants received brunch and were able to fight hunger one meal at a time!
February 7, 2019- "Razors to the Rescue"
Mission: Provide haircuts for those who do not have access to grooming facilitates.
Description: Manners Matter To Me Inc., local barbers and Faded U grooming Studio are teaming up to give haircuts at the Detroit Rescue Mission in Detroit, MI.
Outcome: 68 haircuts were given that help boost confidence, fulfill birthday wishes and ignite hope!
March 1-, 2019 - March 31, 2019 "Manners Madness- The Flint Fade Away"
Mission: To engage Detroit Public High School students in a public service effort that will increase awareness of a neighboring crisis and igniting philanthropist efforts in our city’s youth.
Description: Detroit Public High School students; The National Honors Society at Voyageur College Preparatory high school and students involved in the Future Project at Cody, Renaissance and Communication Media and Arts High School, will run unique one-week campaigns at their prospective schools to raise resources to provide fresh water to residents of Flint who have been affected by the water crisis.
Outcome: Cody High School dominated the competition and won a chance to watch the Pistons take on the Pacers for the Ultimate Pistons Experience! Congrats to the Dream Team at Cody High! Congrats to all our participants! With their efforts we donated over 6,000 bottles of water/ equivalent canteens to Flint! Shout out to our sponsor Robert Covington of the Phildelphia 76ers!
June 7, 2019 – “Naturally Beat Lashes Graduation Give-Away”
Mission: Grant an academically excelling high school senior the opportunity to have a glamorous graduation experience.
Description: Manners Matter to Me Inc. , Naturally Beat Lashes and MakeUp Autumn will be granting a Voyageur College Preparatory high school senior the ultimate glam experience for graduation! Special thanks to Jasmine Brooks, Dean of Students!
Outcome: A beautiful graduating Senior!
July 20, 2019 - FREE Premiere of the LION KING
Mission: Allow Detroit Public School Students the opportunity to see a classic Disney Remake for free in their community!
Description: Manners Matter To Me Inc. is premiering the highly anticipated remake of The Lion King at Bel Air Luxury Cinema in Detroit, MI for Detroit Public School Students ages 5-13.
Outcome: Over 50 families enjoyed a free movie with their loved ones!
November 20, 2019- "Breaking Bread"

December 23 & 30 2023- FREE Premieres Disney’s Migration and The Color Purple
Mission: Allow families within MI the opportunity to watch a free movie with their family and enjoy the holidays!
Description: Manners Matter To Me Inc. is premiering two highly anticipated movies at the Emagine Palladium in Birmingham, MI.
Outcome: Over 100 families enjoyed a free movie with their loved ones!
